Im am so sad to read this. He was wonderful.
Yes
They do not do all you can eat.
No
If I could I would give 10 stars. This place is fantastic. Service, food, vibes is phenomenal. It’s a hidden gem!
Absolutely amazing sushi! My friend brought me here and I can say I can only thank him!The restaurant is nice and cozy and the staff is very friendly! Joseph the chef is clearly very passionate about what he does and he does it very well. The food is on an a whole different level (especially when compared to the local competition) and the fish tastes fresh and comes with just the right amount of rice.Highly recommended!!
Very tasty and fresh food, with nice presentation and good portion size for the price. Wonderful service. If you eat here, Joseph the charming sushi chef will make sure to get your name!
The sushi and rolls were fresh. Friendly staffs and very fast. Place and washrooms were clean. They were attentive and accommodating , definitely go back again. The Chef - Joseph came out from the kitchen to check on the service and thanked us for the business.
The best sushi restaurant I have tried so far, delicious and fresh! Say goodbye to all-you-can eat sushi restaurants and enjoy real sushi!
Zero customer service, there are much better options in the area. My order git mixed up coz I asked to show me on the menu whats inside particular rolls. Instead the cashier started to verbally trying to explain half of the menu with very thik accent, so I accidentally ordered what I certainly didn't want, obviously noone cared. Very overrated rating on maps, mainly due to an older guy chef whom I used to see before, who was nice and generous. Now there are 3 yongsters that don't care much about customers and food is not so good as it used to be. Kinda cheap on everything, I had to ask more soya sauce coz they put one tiny half filled container for 2 sets of rolls. Also I once came exactly at 3(cut of lunch menu) and ordered 2 mins later, they refused to do lunch so I left. Don't recommend! There's an amazing place 2 intersections west with premium quality food and service for same price
Awesome service, taste, and atmosphere!!Chief is so nice and friendly to customers.I think this place is one of the best sushi restaurants. I would like to go there again:-)
Great sushi place hidden at a plaza on steeles and Bathurst. Never thought there would be a sushi store there. The food quality is amazing and service is good as well. This is Korean/Japanese restaurant so you will find some Korean style dishes there as well.
The people were very respectful and kind, I also liked how they had a little mat showing all of the proper etiquette of eating sushi. It's also a lot of food for a nice price, so that's great too. Would go again.
Surprisingly good!! Food was delicious
Best sushi in town! Im a very picky person and it is hard to please me and I know how high quality sushi taste like and this place is amazing! Proper amount of rice and quality of rice is superb! Fish is very fresh and delicious. Service is exceptional. We do both take out and dine in. Its a hidden gem highly recommend!
The service was really good and the owner was very polite and nice. The sushi was also great! Overall it was a great experience.
Looks good taste great
Absolutely the best sushi i have had in a long time! Everything was fresh and the portions were generous! We tried their specialty rolls: Lion King, kamikaze, geisha and french kiss - they were delicious!!! Staff and owner are very kind and the restaurant is cozy. Ill definitely be going back for more!
Awesome experience! Small cozy shop with delicious sushi at affordable prices, quick and friendly service. Pictured is the chirashi dinner, which was varied and delicious and fresh to bite into. Further, Joseph came by to ask us how the food was and got our names to give us a free scoop of ice cream which was so nice. Would come back!
Good food at a great price! Loved how their place mat had the proper etiquette for eating sushi drawn on it. Laughed that as I didn't follow any of the rules.
This place is ok, food selection is not bad, the only thing I don't like is that their lunch specials last for very short period of time and usually are the best.Dined in once, mostly did take out.Prices are okay.
A cozy place with some great quality sushi! The price is worth the quality of the food and the staff always provides side dishes along with your meal.
Great sushi with a reasonable price. I recommend trying their lion king roll. They hv lunch special and save 10% if you pay with cash.
The owner/chef is very nice. paid extra attention to details on each and every dish, reasonable price
I wanted to go this restaurant because they got so many good reviews. Now I got it. The food is average but their green salad is too small for $5. The waitress was nice and busy. When we finished to order, suddenly the owner showed up with his Bussines card and ask us it was first time to come here and our Name!!! He was even writing our name on his note. Many people who wrote good reviews liked it but We are not comfortable to tell my kids names and my husbands name( for business ). He really should know that asking customers name is not always welcoming. I understand this comes from good place and wanting good reviews but it’s too much for us.
It's not cheapest sushi in Toronto but it's definitely best sushi in Toronto within similar price range. It was so good that after trying it first time, I got it 2 more times within same week. 10% discount if you bring cash. I would eat $30 worth of sushi from here rather than $30 ayce any day.
The best part of this place is the owner. Very kind. The food is decent, but the portions of the fish are a bit smaller than other places. Quality is good though.
Always a great place for Japanese. The maki are delicious and you have a choice to order them as a large (10 pieces) or as a mini roll (5 pieces) so that you can sample more of them :p. Joseph (the owner) is very nice and makes an effort to greet customers by name and to walk them out (if he's not in the kitchen), even in the winter time.
Got our own little cozy booth. Fresh, tasty meal. The Wa2 Family Boat was the best deal - miso, edamame, tempura sushi and more! Will undoubtedly be back.
Not bad tasting sushi, quite fresh, the head chef is super nice. Gave us free ice cream for our first visit here! Can get a bit full during peak hours, can make reservations!
Amazing sushi and welcoming staff:) would love to come back here for the delicious sushi and great prices
The suhi is great and the service is excellent! We got the party packages, which come with a mix of different types of rolls and sashimis etc.The chef and owner Joseph also comes to you in person after your meal. Nice guy!
Walked in on a Saturday, were seated instantly. Watched sunset with wonderful sushi and service. Family combos are an amazing deal.
best sushi in town! I've been to several sushi restaurant around here and this place is by far the best! Awesome appetizer noodles, great sushi and sashimi, and omg amazing udon! Reasonable prices too! Already been here twice and looking forward for the next visit!
Always friendly and attentive. Not the best miso but everything is fresh and tasty!
Average. Can't substitute anything for the sushi roll platters which sucks. You can only get whatever the chef reccomends. All you can eat places would have been cheaper. The food is on par with most all you can eat places and usually a la cart places should have better and bigger rolls But they don't here. Chef was really nice and customer service was great. 1 star for atmosphere. Very old place not updated at all. I give the food a 3 star and the service is 5 star.
Good service, great quality and the cook is really nice! We can’t ask for better !
Sushi was great and the service was amazing! Highly recommend. Will definitely be coming back here!
Small cute place. Fresh food. Friendly service. Recommended!
Very good sushi. Very good service. Authentic atmosphere
The place is cozy! Chef is amazing and owner is super friendly and warm. You have to try their food. I think its a must!
This restaurant is great, I highly recommend it! The food is fresh, staff are pleasant and service is good. My husband and I come here probably once every few weeks and have never been disappointed! I prefer eating in and I love the little appetizer they bring. I would totally recommend this place if you’re looking for a great sushi experience.
Sushi Wa serves up beautifully presented sushi just west of Bathurst. The owner, Joseph, was very attentive. He went around to get to know the patrons at every table, and offered complementary desserts to us because a rowdy guest next table over was being disruptive. Talk about thoughtful customer service! We enjoyed the food quite a bit and we loved the consistently sized nigiri pieces. Will definitely go back for more when in the area.
This place serves you two things. One of the best sushis on the planet and the best attitude ever. I have been their customer from the day they have started and to this day they just get better. Joseph ( the owner) is one of the best guy I have ever met in my life and I learn a lot from him (you probably don’t know what I am talking about unless you go and see him).
Awesome and yummy food, I loved the atmosphere this place has, and the cashiers were very friendly. I will surely come back in the future.
Amazing customer service! Our server and Joseph were so helpful and went above and beyond with our dining experience. The sushi was great. There's a spicy salmom sushi that I'm definitely going back for and the presentation is exceptional. This is my new sushi spot!
Super delicious! Every time I call on a Tuesday they don’t pick up. Not sure why
Great value and good tasting sushi! We got the medium boat which fed 3 people.
Been coming here for years. There is very delicious fresh sushi and bento boxes. The owners almost always make sure to stop by and check in on you. It adds to the charm of a true small business experience.
Fantastic sushi and a wonderful chef named Joseph who came out and introduced himself to me and my family and even walked us out to the car wishing us safe travels. I will always stop in for food here when I'm in town.
Very good service and very good sushi boat. The chef came and greeted us and offered us free ice cream.
Quality fish and amazing rolls. Favorite sushi place!
We were looking for sushi on the long weekend and stumbled upon this place. It is a fairly typical cosy neighborhood sushi place with fair prices. The quality of the sushi was quite good. We ordered a sushi boat and wasn't expecting much, but it became a full set meal, some of the sushi and sashimi on the boat was also torched. Service was quick and friendly.
Forgot Part of order. Tasty but not great value. Can do better in customer service.
